Self Portraits
Connecting body and soul began when I noticed how I responded to working with photographers as a model. Eventually, I started to play both roles, and I found I really enjoyed being behind the camera as much as being in front of it. In that way, self-portraiture became the bridge between my time as a model and starting to photograph others. I continue self-portrait work to explore my relationship between my own body and soul. Each image is both mirror and question, a way of witnessing myself more fully and of honouring the truths that surface in my response. What I learn in front of the lens deepens the way I accompany others in their journey where our body is honoured as the home of our story, our presence, and our beauty.
